Microsoft may be adding new features to its Copilot AI tool in Windows 11 and possibly Windows 10 in the future. According to reports, the Copilot AI may have the ability to start up as soon as the operating system boots up.

A recent report on Windows Latest mentioned that new testing options for Copilot were introduced. This includes a new setting where the Copilot can be toggled to open when Windows starts, a feature hidden in the Personalization area of Settings.

With this update, the Copilot panel will appear as soon as the desktop loads. This feature is aimed at users with wider screens who have the space to accommodate Copilot as a constant companion.

Another new feature being tested for Copilot is the ability to unpin the AI’s side-panel. If the update is implemented, clicking the button on the side-bar will collapse Copilot when another window is maximized.

Additionally, Microsoft is also working on allowing users to resize the Copilot panel. In a recent testing, it was observed that the side-panel can be enlarged to show recent activity and active plug-ins.

These new features bring useful changes to allow users to tailor the AI to their preferences. While they are currently only available to a limited set of Windows Insiders, they are expected to become available to all testers and eventually included in the release version of Windows 11.

Overall, the new features are expected to enhance the functionality and versatility of Copilot’s interface. These updates are likely to be well-received and highly anticipated by users.
