Windows App from Microsoft now allows users to stream Windows 11 desktop from a remote PC to their Apple device, as well as various other streaming options like Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop. This application is available for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and Windows, and also supports multi-monitor setups and device redirection for connected hardware.

However, there is a catch – the Windows App currently only works with Microsoft business accounts, not personal accounts. There is also the fact that the app is still in its preview phase, so some features might not work as expected.

While the lack of Android support is another notable absence, The Verge points out that the Windows version of the Windows app has an option to use a personal Microsoft account, although it is not functional at the moment.

This is an exciting development, albeit with some limitations, and it suggests the potential for consumers to be able to use the app and stream a remote PC to their Apple (or other) device in the future. The anticipated release of this capability will bring further opportunities for cross-platform usage.
