Amazon’s Black Friday sales have made PC components more affordable than ever. As someone with experience building computers, I took advantage of the reduced prices to assemble a custom gaming PC that’s more cost-effective than buying one pre-built. The cornerstone of my build is the NVIDIA RTX 3060, which has seen a significant price reduction and is available for $241.99. I paired it with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, now at half off for $158.55, along with a B550 Gaming X V2 motherboard for $95.99. The rest of the components, including RAM and SSD, were all acquired at substantial discounts.

When all components are taken into account, my build costs $690.75. The cheapest pre-built RTX 3060 gaming PC I found was priced at $699.99, but the brand and components were questionable. Therefore, I’m confident my DIY approach produced a better value product. My build is not only cost-effective, but its future upgrade potential makes it an attractive option. For a PC intended for playing games like Fortnite, it’s a great value and the perfect opportunity to build a solid gaming rig.
