Trouble Brews for Windows 11 Users as Recent Patch Causes Boot Loops
Reports are surfacing that Windows 11 users are experiencing difficulties with the latest patch for the operating system, including the appearance of nasty boot loops. The November cumulative update, known as KB5032190, was deployed by Microsoft last week, and various issues with the patch have been highlighted by Windows Latest.
The most severe problem is that users attempting to install the update are getting stuck in a boot loop, causing their PCs to fail during installation, reboot, fail again, and so on. One Reddit user reported: “I have tried installing this update twice now, only for it to get caught in an endless boot loop. It kept getting to 95% and restarting, then would try again.”
In addition to boot loop issues, some users are suffering from disappearing icons on the taskbar. The missing icons or displaced icons issue has been ongoing for a while since the introduction of Moment 4, the update that brought new features to Windows 11.
While Microsoft has fixed the disappearing icons glitch in the Canary preview build of Windows 11, no official statement has been released regarding the boot loop problem. However, Microsoft has acknowledged some known issues with the patch, including problems with multiple monitors and desktop icon alignment when using Copilot.
Despite these issues, Microsoft is reportedly working on a fix, offering hope to Windows 11 users currently experiencing problems.
