India’s Ministry of Health reported 31 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, bringing the country’s active case count to 249. The death toll was reported at 5,33,298 as of 8 am. The country’s total Covid case tally now stands at 4,50,01,764. According to the health ministry’s website, 4,44,68,217 people have recovered from the disease, with a national recovery rate of 98.81 percent. The case fatality rate is 1.19 per cent. India has administered 220.67 crore doses of Covid vaccines as per the ministry’s website.
