YouTube is now offering a unique opportunity to its Premium subscribers by introducing two new AI features on its mobile app. The most notable feature is the conversational AI, which allows users to ask questions about the video they are watching and receive recommendations for other content. This can be accessed by tapping the Ask button below the channel name on eligible videos.

The conversational AI is currently in the experimental phase and may not work perfectly, although our tests showed that it was able to accurately summarize videos and provide solid recommendations. Users can also provide feedback to YouTube’s software by using the thumbs up or thumbs down icon.

This feature is currently only available on the YouTube app for Android users in the US, aged 18 and above, until December 15. The second AI feature is a comment summarizer, which breaks down large comment sections into individual topics and is limited to English videos.

Additionally, YouTube has introduced Playables, a collection of 30 games that can be accessed from the homepage without the need for any downloads. While the games available are not particularly groundbreaking, they offer a fun way to pass the time. These games will be available until March 28, 2024.

These new features are part of YouTube’s ongoing experiments, and there is no official launch date yet. However, this story will be updated as more details become available.
