18 flights were diverted from Delhi airport on Saturday morning due to bad weather, according to an official. The flights were sent to Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Amritsar. The Delhi airport posted on a microblogging platform around 0810 hrs, stating that low visibility procedures were in progress. The air quality in several areas of Delhi was recorded as ‘very poor’, with smog covering multiple areas of the city. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reported ‘very poor’ air quality in Anand Vihar and Ashok Vihar, with AQI readings of 388 and 386, respectively, at 6 a.m. Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International (IGI) had an AQI reading of 375 at 10:00 a.m. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai announced that Grap-3 was lifted in the national capital, but efforts are still being made to strictly implement Grap-1 and 2.
