Google Search on Android is set to challenge language-learning app Duolingo with its new interactive speaking tool. The feature, which will be available in Argentina, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Mexico, and Venezuela, allows users to practice their English-speaking skills. In practice sessions, users will be asked questions and must respond verbally using a specific vocabulary word. The sessions last between three to five minutes and users will receive personalized feedback and the option to sign up for daily reminders to continue practicing. The feature can be accessed through Google Translate on the search engine. Google plans to expand the tool to more countries and languages in the future. However, it will remain exclusive to Android and there is no news yet on its availability for desktop or iOS.
