Apple fans are eagerly anticipating a new event titled “Scary Fast” scheduled for October 30. While Apple has not revealed any details, leaks suggest that the tech giant will announce new iMacs featuring the M3 chip, a redesigned stand, and potentially new color options.

For weeks, rumors have been circulating about a possible iMac refresh. Some sources claimed that new Macs would not be released until 2024, while others speculated about the imminent arrival of an M2 iMac. The timing of the “Scary Fast” event seems to align with these rumors.

Renowned Apple analyst Mark Gurman shared his predictions for the event in his latest “Power On” newsletter. Gurman stated that the M3 iMac has been in production for months and that we may not see significant changes in terms of external design. However, there could be various internal improvements and possibly a new stand. Gurman expects the color schemes of the new iMacs to be similar to the existing M1 models.

Although I am disappointed that we may not see new and exciting colors like the previous M1 iMac models, I am thrilled about the potential arrival of the M3 iMacs. It’s possible that we might see different hues of the same colors.

The 24-inch iMac is long overdue for an update, and I hope Apple addresses the few issues highlighted in our review. It is unlikely that the lack of ports on the latest model will be corrected, but the M3 chip is expected to offer a significant performance boost. This aligns with the “Scary Fast” name of Apple’s event.

I am curious if Apple will mention the 27-inch iMac during the event. This device has seemingly been forgotten by Apple, leaving fans of the larger all-in-one computer without significant upgrades. It would be great to see Apple show some love to the 27-inch iMac and perhaps introduce an M3 version during the event. Apple, where is my 27-inch M3 iMac?

Stay tuned for more updates on the Apple “Scary Fast” event.
