The Meta Quest Plus free trial was previously only available for those who purchased the 512GB model of the Meta Quest 3. However, Reddit users were surprised to find that the offer extends to those who bought the 128GB version of the device as well.
Unlike the usual free one-month trial which only saves $7.99 / £7.99 for new subscribers, this extended trial grants $47.94 / £47.94 worth of access to VR game titles, catering to gaming enthusiasts everywhere.
With Meta Quest Plus, subscribers can obtain two free VR titles every month to add to their library, and have full access to play them as long as they are subscribed. In the event that they unsubscribe, access to the free games will be lost.
However, there are some caveats to this offer. Subscribers do not get to choose the games that are available with this offer. Two free titles that are currently on offer are NFL Pro Era and Angry Birds: Isle of Pigs, both of which have attained favorable ratings.
To see if you qualify for the six-month free trial, open the Meta Quest app on your smartphone, and search for “Meta Quest Plus”. Then, click on the blue button on the store’s page that says “Start your six-month trial”.
This free trial offer seems to be applicable in most regions, though there are reports that some users can only see the one-month trial. It is still unclear if this offer is available to owners of the Oculus Quest 2 devices as well.
