Microsoft Edge unveils a valuable new accessibility feature for Bing AI in the browser, according to the report by Leopeva64 on Twitter, as observed in the earlier test versions of Edge. The feature, known as Edge Copilot, is available in the Canary and Dev test versions and enables the option to read the chat aloud.

Following a query, users can simply press the speaker button to have the text response read out loud, with the option to pause playback as needed. However, the feature is currently in a phased rollout, so it may not be available to all test version users just yet.

In addition to the Edge Copilot feature, the New Tab menu in Edge has been updated with a list of recently visited websites at the bottom of the panel, providing a convenient way to quickly revisit recently closed web pages. However, this feature is also currently in the testing phase and only available in the Canary version of Edge.

This focus on updates and improvements to accessibility features within Windows 11 and the Edge browser aligns with Microsoft’s wider effort to enhance accessibility. As development continues, it’s likely that users can expect more of these innovations to further meet their needs in the future.
